WHO IS SCREENFREE

Australian, direct, and built for practical rollout.

screenfree is an Australian, founder-led business founded by Matt Worrall. We supply schools directly, without distributors or franchise networks. When a school orders from screenfree, they deal with the people running the company.

Australia and Singapore are our primary markets. We also handle enquiries from New Zealand, the UAE, Malaysia and other international markets case by case.

THE REAL PROBLEM

The policy exists. The loopholes still do.

Most schools already have a phone rule. The hard part is making it consistent without turning every lesson into another phone conversation.

Phones in bags

Still checked.

Phones in lockers

Still retrieved.

Standard pouches

Still connected.

Staff end up managing loopholes instead of teaching. The schools getting cleaner results have moved past debating whether phones should be removed, and are focused on how to do it consistently across an entire cohort.

ROLLOUT OPTIONS

Start where it makes sense.

Schools do not need to jump straight into a whole-school rollout. Start with the level of coverage that matches the problem you are trying to solve.

01
Targeted rollout

A single class, year level or student group. Useful for testing fit, building staff confidence or addressing a specific cohort issue.

02
Year-level rollout

Often Year 7 or Year 9. Enough coverage to shift the social norm while keeping the rollout manageable.

03
Whole-school rollout

Every student, every day. Cleaner enforcement, fewer grey areas, and fewer places for phones to migrate.

PRICING

Transparent pricing. No subscription theatre.

Simple per-unit pricing, flexible order sizes and written quotes with delivery included.

COMPARISON

Comparing options? Here’s the honest version.

Schools often find us while comparing Yondr alternatives, standard lockable pouches and signal-blocking phone pouch options. We are not trying to be the biggest provider in the category. We are trying to be the practical one.

Standard pouches

Good for visible phone use. Less useful if signal is still active and hotspotting or tethering is the issue.

Managed programs

Can suit schools wanting a larger structured rollout or a multi-year managed program.

screenfree

Direct supply, transparent pricing, flexible order sizes, Australian support and a signal-blocking option.

THE DIFFERENCES

What is worth knowing.

The right fit depends on what your school needs. If another provider is better suited, we will say so.

Signal-blocking option

For schools dealing with hotspotting, tethering or notifications, signal-blocking pouches are designed to block cellular, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when fully sealed.

Flexible order sizes

Schools can order 10 pouches or 1,000. No requirement to commit to a full-school program upfront.

Transparent pricing

Schools can see the unit cost before a sales conversation. No program-based contracts.

Direct Australian support

Quotes in AUD, local delivery, and direct contact with the people running the business.

THE DIFFERENCES

What changes when the system is consistent?

Schools running consistent, whole-cohort programs have reported fewer phone issues and cleaner enforcement across the school day.

Fewer phone incidents
Less staff time wasted
Better classroom focus
Less lunchtime conflict
More face-to-face interaction

One regional Victorian secondary school reported a major reduction in weekly phone-related incidents after moving to a consistent whole-school pouch program.

These are reported outcomes from individual schools, not universal results. Schools that implement consistently, communicate clearly with parents and have staff aligned tend to see stronger results. The pouch is a tool, not a system on its own.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What schools ask us.

What is screenfree?

screenfree is an Australian school phone pouch supplier. We provide lockable phone pouches, including signal-blocking options, to schools that want to remove mobile phone access during the school day.

Who founded screenfree?

screenfree was founded by Matt Worrall. It is an Australian business, not a franchise or international subsidiary.

Where do you deliver?

Australia and Singapore are our primary markets. We also handle enquiries from New Zealand, the UAE, Malaysia and other international markets case by case. Within Australia, we deliver to metropolitan, regional and remote areas across all states and territories.

Do the pouches block phone signal?

The signal-blocking pouches are designed to block cellular, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signal when the magnetic flap is fully sealed. Sample pouches are available for schools that want to test before ordering.

What is the minimum order?

10 pouches. No minimum program size beyond that.

How much do the pouches cost?

Standard pouches are $16 per unit. Signal-blocking pouches are $20 per unit. Unlocking magnets are $75 per unit. Wall-mounted unlocking stations are $110 per unit. Custom-branded pouches are available with pricing tiered by volume.

How long does delivery take?

Standard delivery within Australia is usually 5 to 10 business days from order confirmation. Custom-branded orders take longer depending on volume and design specifications.

Can students still access their phones in an emergency?

Yes. Staff hold the magnetic unlockers and can release pouches at any time. Many schools designate specific staff members as unlock points across the school.

What happens if a pouch is damaged or lost?

Replacement pouches are sold at standard per-unit pricing. No replacement fees or program penalties.

Do you offer pilots or free trials?

We do not run free trials, but the 10-pouch minimum is designed to let schools start small. Many schools begin with a single class or year level before scaling. Sample pouches are available for testing.

How is screenfree different from Yondr?

Schools usually compare us with Yondr when they want more flexible order sizes, clearer per-unit pricing, signal-blocking options, and direct Australian support. Yondr may suit schools looking for a larger managed program; screenfree is built for schools that want a practical, direct-supply option.

Who do schools contact to order or ask questions?

Matt Worrall directly. Email matt@screenfree.au or call +61 449 162 543. Singapore and regional enquiries can email matt@screenfree.com.sg.
